Quincy Community Advisory Board
The Quincy Community Police Advisory Board was re-organized after about an eight-year hiatus. The board acts as a go-between for the community and the police department. The goal of the group is to be a sounding board for the community, so the members can help the police department be more effective and better understand the needs of the community. The board can also help provide community members a better understanding of police department issues and policies.
The board was organized ?? The board acts in an advisory role and does not make or enforce policy. The members were recommended and then approved by the Quincy City Council. The board meets on the second Monday of every month at 6 p.m. at City Hall. The meetings are open to the public and there is a time for public input.
It's a worthwhile program and with regular meetings, it's very effective. The Board is able to receive input from community members and also provided thier own input. If you want to make a difference in the community think about joining the Quincy Advisory Board. Help bridge the gap between the police department and the community. The board helps the people of the community to understand why the police do what they do. The Board encouraged anyone who has questions or suggestions for the police department to contact a board member or attend a meeting.
Anyone who has something they want to talk about regarding police issues or how the police department can support or help them is certainly welcome and encouraged to come to the meetings and participate.
